Time flies, and the amounts of nights spent in the garage is far beyond countable...
...every little part, everything that should be mounted...
-It takes time, when doing it the right way.
Since there are no windows in my garage,
the only time I see real sunlight is when I go home, or when I wake up.
Apart from working myself to death in the garage,
I assume you want to get some updates on whats happening in my garage.
We start up with some details:
New intake and exhaust manifold,
The guy that has made them is taking part in a very famous Swedish street/drag racing team called TTR.
They usually work with Volvo's but apparently they can handle other cars too.
Just to make one thing clear: These parts has not been given to me,
they cost me lots and are custom built for me and my engine.
Adjustable and progressive feul pressure regulator from Malpassi,
with the new intake in the background.
Engine mountings in hardened steel is the best alternative (read cheapest)
way to get the engine from not leaving its position in the enginebay
when using an unforgiving cluth and too much boost.
Shining things...
...a completely waste of time, I don't know why but I like it.
Here things are finding its way into the engine bay
After running the engine warm on idle for a couple of times,
it was finally time for a test run outside the garage.
A test run to the local hamburger bar seemed like a good target, both for me and the car...
...but yet after only a couple of hundred metres, the car just stopped.
It stopped, and it was suddenly impossible to turn the engine around. nor with the starter or by hand.
As I could see it, there were two reasons for it.
Broken timing belt, or something definitely more complex, such as a mainbearing.
After towing the car back to it's hideout I removed the timing belt cover,
and saw that the timing belt was ok.
I said some very un polite things to the car before starting the complete dismantling...
...This really sucks, when the car brakes down,
only one week prior the start of the race season.
